LORD SUTCH & HEAVY FRIENDS
Features Bonham (with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Noel Redding) in a rare studio session, recorded in May 1969. Bonham & Page were long-time fans of Sutch. Although the vocals leave much to be desired, the music is certainly a treat with superb drumming. In fact, Bonham was so impressed with the drum sound the L.A. studio produced, the band returned there to record some of Led Zeppelin II. I've spoken with Lord Sutch about this session (and many other incredible tales) and it's a great story. Re-issued as "Smoke & Fire" in the mid-80's.
